Citroen has create a car that has zero fuel consumption, zero CO2 emissions and zero engine noise - the C-ZERO is Citroen's 100% electric solution to meet the demands of modern day city and town driving. With its small dimensions, rapid charging ability and generous electric driving range for day-to-day journeys, the Citroen C-ZERO claims to be the perfect city companion. The C-ZERO is about a quarter of the size of a new C8 in Hampshire.

Even though the C-ZERO measures just 3.48m (l), 1.48m (w) & 1.60m (h), it still offers a spacious and comfortable cabin with four adult seats and a 166-litre boot capacity. On the road, the C-ZERO has a top speed of 80mph, can do 0-62mph in 15.9 seconds and has a range of up to 93 miles per charge. To make it the "perfect city companion" Citroen have been able to give the C-ZERO a 9m turning circle and nimble handling to make it easy to navigate through city traffic.

The Sunday Times recently done a feature on the Citroen C-ZERO, Nick Rufford and Jason Dawe drove the car from London to Calais and back to Ashford in Kent, a distance of around 100 miles. The journey crowned the C-ZERO as the first production electric powered car to use the shuttle between the UK and France.

Nick Rufford and Jason Dawe couldn’t have picked a worse time to do the journey, it was the worst December weather for over twenty years and the traffic along the motorways was unbearable, they luckily avoided the standstill traffic and navigated through the thick snow.

Nick Rufford, Editor of InGear, said; "Jason and I are delighted to be the first passengers through the tunnel in a production electric vehicle. The C-ZERO performed admirably, despite the terrible weather conditions, and we were still able to complete our story."
