Christmas Street Party of the Year

My parents moved to a cosy flat in Kent after they got married, it was their love nest as my mum likes to call it and they haven’t moved since. I grow up in that flat and it holds all the beautiful memories of our little family.

Living in my neighbourhood is great, as we are a small and very close community. Every year since I can remember, everyone from our neighbourhood will get together during Christmas and organise the best Christmas street party and Christmas events in Kent. We also print out leaflets which we sent out to other local areas to welcome them to our Christmas street party and events.

Every year we try our best to make it much bigger and better than the last one and So far all our events have been successful each year. This year we have our aim is to plan the best street party and events so that is front page news on our local paper.

We always have Santa’s grotto for the little children, a huge Christmas tree and lights, a beautiful Christmas display of the reindeers with the sleigh and we also have snow as it isn’t Christmas till there’s snow. We like to involve all children of different ages in the nativity play, also have the parents to make the costume for the play which they all enjoy doing.

To make sure we all have the Christmas spirit, all the volunteers have to dress up and they can chose to be an elf, reindeer, snowman, Christmas tree and anything that is somehow related to Christmas. This year I have chosen to dress up like an elf and my parents have chosen to be reindeers.
